Stockyard City and Bass Pro
June 6th we made another trip to OKC for fun. We went to the Bass Pro shop which is pretty similar to Cabelas. They had all kinds of boats and Matt dreamed of owning a boat some day. We got the kids some hats and looked at the gigantic fish. Love stores like this.
We caught some lunch at a pizza shop called Joey's Pizzeria in a super scary part of town. I insisted that we go some place else because just a few blocks down the street we saw some pretty shady stuff going on. There were a ton of homeless looking people down the street and didn't look like a good place. Matt assured me and reassured me that it was going to be a good place to eat and he was right! The pizza was so good and it turned out fun. I will always remember the music. There was a catchy, upbeat song and both kids were bobbing their heads with Matt. You had to be there but there were pretty silly/cute.

Deeply rooted in Oklahoma’s pioneer heritage, Stockyards City offers an Old West experience and Oklahoma hospitality to visitors from around the globe!

Stockyard City is part of Oklahoma City. There are several shops that carry lots of cowboy stuff. Not OSU Cowboy stuff but actually cowboy stuff...saddles, cowboy boots, and whatever else a cowboy would need. There were several carriage rides going on and a lady singing on this corner with her guitar and acoustic speakers. You can kind of see her in this picture. Fun stuff :)
