Blues Clues Birthday! Levi is 2!

July 9th, Levi woke up to his Cake and a living room full of balloon decorations and crape paper on the wall. This Blues Clues lover was overly excited and knew there was something special going on. 

This is Lily's signature Brave Girl shirt that Matt got her from TX.

Levi got to open presents from Grandma Mitchell in the morning. We suspected clothing and thought it would be fun for him to wear on his birthday. 

He had a birthday lunch at McDonalds. Happy Meals are a big deal.

This is where the party began! You better believe that we sang every song...just like the show.

"We are gonna play Blues Clues cause it's really fun. Yeah!"

This is how you play:

"To play Blue's Clues we gotta find a... (paw print!) 

A paw print, right! And that's our first... (clue!) 

A clue? (A clue!) 

Then we put it in our... (notebook!) 

Cause they're Blue's Clues, Blue's Clues! 

We gotta find another paw print, that's the second clue 

We put it in our notebook 

Cause they're whose clues? Blue's Clues! 

We gotta find the last paw print, that's the third clue 

We put it in our notebook

You know what to do! 

Sit down in our Thinking Chair and think...think...think! 

Cause when we use our mind, take a step at a time

These two were ready with their Handy Dandy Notebooks to go play Blues Clues.

1st Clue Found. The color red.

They put the 1st clue in their notebooks by using their red markers.

"We are looking for Blue's clues

I wonder where they are"

2nd Clue Found. Three wheels.

They put it in their notebooks.

3rd Clue Found. The car trunk.

They sat down in their thinking chair. What could be red, have three wheels and be in the trunk of the car? Levi's trike!

"We sat on down 
Figured it out 
What Blue's Clues are all about 
Hey, you know what? 
You're really smart!"

He loved the trike but that Handy Dandy note book never left his hands that day.

That night we had a birthday dinner with Levi's favorite, Spaghetti. We invited the Monson's and the Sister Missionaries and it was a blast. Abby is Levi's little friend and the missionaries love Levi.

Not only did we have a great party, but it was a good family home evening and the Sister Missionaries taught us a lesson about enduring to the end and keeping the commandments. We also played "Pin the flag on Mailbox."

I love everything about this two year old boy. He is incredibly active and curious about how everything works. He can get into everything, including the fridge. He is a handful but he is so so sweet. He love to give hugs and loves and is so nice. I'm so glad his birthday turned out so great because he deserves a special day. Happy birthday Levi.  And just for fun:
