Colorado

Sunday, April 11th, we all packed up and went to Colorado for a few days. It was the best trip ever for me. I love my family so much and even though I've never lived with them in Colorado, it is just like being home. Pebbles is still hanging around, even though she is getting really old. She's not the same rambunctious pup she was when I was 10, that's for sure.

I had so much fun with my mom. I was so lucky to have her all to myself and have Matt there to help me keep Lily entertained. She helped me figure out my sewing machine and I was so thankful. We also had a fun day shopping in Glenwood. It was also nice to be with Dad and Jayne. Dad was working that week. He was nice to tolerate Lily's loudness while he was trying to sleep during the day. On Wednesday we had a nice dinner with Jayne and Bryan while Mom and Dad were at work. That was really nice of them to take us out.
This is the same water fall I blogged about last year at this time. Mom had to go back to work on Wednesday so we took a little trip to Rifle Gap. Lily appreciated it more this year, obviously. She liked the fish in the river below. Every time we went anywhere we saw at least one deer. On Monday morning, we took a walk around the neighborhood. I saw a deer in somebodies front yard. I pointed it out to Matt and asked him if it was a statue. It was incredibly close! Colorado is beautiful!

Lily did well in the car the entire trip. I liked it best when she looked like this.

Tuesday (April 13th) we had Lily's birthday party. This was the 1st of three parties. Mom bought her this party dress. She still calls it her party dress when she wears it to church.

Grandma spoiled her with presents galore. After the party was over she was asking for more "tea-parties."

I was so sad to have to go home on Thursday. What a nice way to celebrate being done with school. Matt had started the new semester and seems to be liking it so far. July is coming up really fast. Pretty soon he will be graduated and we will have a baby boy join our family!

Shelley, CONGRATULATIONS ON GRADUATING!! you are so awesome. I wish we could have been there to help celebrate that big day in your life. You look beautiful and radiant, just like always. I'm so proud of you. I remember how hard that was. I think it's so neat we have that in common, that we both graduated from BYU-Idaho, pregnant with our second child! haha. You are amazing and I'm so happy for you to be done. What a great feeling! Enjoy your one on one time with Lily before your little boy comes.
